“Do you want to live forever?”
WordPress.com Prompt
The question mentioned above as a quotation “Do you want to live forever?” was thrown at me by our truly ‘WordPress.com’. I opened my WordPress laptop app after almost 7-8 months to post something and this question suddenly popped up on my screen.

Before sharing my answer to this question, I would like to ask you this same question. What is your take on this? Do you want to live forever? If yes, why? And, if not, please mention your reason as well. I would like to read your comments below this post.
Do you want to live forever?
Yes
No
Yes (if loved ones are with me)
No (not even when loved ones are with me)
So, moving on… If I think of this proposal only one thing comes to my mind – Will my loved ones be there with me in this forever, never-ending life?
It’s true that we enter this world alone, in some cases with someone else also, you know, ‘twins’, ‘triplets, ‘quadruplets’ etc. Still, our life is solely ours when we are born because only one baby comes out at once.
Even though we enter this world alone, isn’t it correct that we all live in this world happily because we have our loved ones with us? Whether it’s our parents, siblings, partner, friends or an understanding and caring neighbour, aren’t these the people who are a big part of our lives? What if I ask you to live alone for 2 days? Some people may say I can live happily for more than 2 days. But if you imagine all aspects, can you live alone forever?
If I tell you that in that forever life there’s no one to ask you about your whereabouts, nobody to care for you or talk to you, no one is there to hug you or just look at you and give a calming smile. How are you feeling about this alone life?
Is it worth living forever? Wouldn’t it be great if we get to live forever but with our loved ones next to us? Wouldn’t it be a happy place for us?
I would never want to live in a place where I’m all alone. Even a slight hope of them coming back to you gives you a reason to live. That hope keeps us going, isn’t it?
Your girl with thousand dreams,
